The original home of the Michigan Wolverines is back and it is a lot better and bigger than what we remember.
With a seating capacity of 109,901 (which by the way is a clever ambigram to boast the stadium’s whooping seating capacity), and the addition of more premium seats such as the club seats and club suites, Dave Brandon, who spearheads the University of Michigan’s Intercollegiate Athletics department said in an interview that the stadium’s renovations will be completed just in time for college football season and the Wolverines’ opening game.
So yes, the Big House has returned and it is out to topple the Beaver Stadium in Pennsylvania in terms of size and the number of people it can accommodate.
The Wolverines will be playing for the first time in the newly renovated Ann Arbor stadium when they go against the Connecticut Huskies for their opening game this fall.
